Morris County Among Country's Best Places to Live, Real Estate Site Says

Morris County is one of the best places to live in the country.

Residents already knew that, though.

According to real estate blog movoto.com, Morris was ranked sixth-best county in the country, based on a six criterion.

Those included unemployment rates, median household income, median rent, median home price, percent of families below the poverty line, and high school graduation rate.

One other New Jersey county was on the top-10 list – Somerset County – which came in one spot above Morris at number 5.

Only two of the top-10 counties were not on the East Coast. The full list was:

Douglas County, Colorado
Fairfax County, Virginia
Chester County, Pennsylvania
Somerset County, NJ
Morris County, NJ
Washington County, Minnesota
Montgomery County, Maryland
Frederick County, Maryland
Rockingham County, New Hampshire

Bergen County wrapped up New Jersey’s rankings and came in at number 17 in the site’s top 50.
