Morris County Man Gets 12 Years in Prison for Bank Robbery

Randolph resident stole more than $1,700 from bank in his own town, report says.

A Randolph man found guilty of robbing a PNC Bank in his town in 2013 will spend nearly a dozen years in prison after Monday ruling.

According to nj.com, Rahman Fulton, 35, entered the bank in May 2013 holding a handgun while wearing a black mask. He demanded money from the teller, who gave him $1,777 and a hidden GPS unit, the report said.

Data from the GPS unit showed Fulton drove directly to his own home and was there for several minutes before moving into the adjoining backyard, the report said.

Fulton was convicted of bank robbery and using a firearm in furtherance of the bank robbery.

The sentencing judge also imposed three years of supervised release on Fulton, the report said.
