Two Women Allegedly Caught With Heroin in Car

Two women were caught last week allegedly in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Loantaka Way, Madison Police said Monday.
Samantha Vogel, 22, of Clifton, and Meredith Damiano, 20, of Berkeley Heights, were charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia on June 1 after Ptl. Sean Plumstead conducted a motor vehicle stop at about 7:45 p.m., police said.

The pair was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. Vogel was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear a seat belt and operating an unregistered vehicle, police said. Ptl. Anthony Maccario assisted with the arrest.
Maccario arrested Aisha Galman, 28, of Elizabeth, on May 29 on the strength of a $105 traffic warrant issued by Westfield Municipal Court, police said. Maccario ran a computer check on the license plate of Galman’s vehicle, which uncovered the active warrant, police said.

Galman was taken to police headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance, police said. Galman was also issued motor vehicle summonses for driving with a suspended drivers license and failing to produce a valid insurance card, police said.
Ptl. James Cavezza arrested Quey Cooper, 31, of Bartonsville, Pa., on May 27 on the strength of a $214 traffic warrant issued by Hanover Township Municipal Court.
Following the stop at about 7:20 p.m., a computer check revealed there was an active traffic warrant for Cooper's arrest, police said. He was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. Cooper was also issued motor vehicle summonses for missing a front license plate and driving with a suspended drivers license, police said.

The police investigated 11 motor vehicle crashes during the week.
