Join us at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts for an illustrated talk by author and speaker David Veasey on Sunday, May 31st from 2:00-4:00 pm. Mr Veasey will discuss the substantial number of buildings from New Jersey’s colonial past, including the Royal Governor’s Mansion in Perth Amboy, the still functioning Black Horse Inn in Mendham, Nassau Hall on the grounds of Princeton University, Washington’s Headquarters in Morristown, and the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in the country. The talk is based on David Veasey’s recent book, New Jersey’s Colonial Architecture Told in 100 Buildings, and buildings from every county in the state are included.
David Veasey is a lifelong New Jersey resident who lives in Morris Plains and graduated from Drew University. He has worked as a writer his entire career, including stints as a journalist, United Nations information officer, advertizing writer, and financial writer in New York City.
Admission is $10 for non-members and $8 admission for members (includes admission to the Museum).
