New Principal Hired At Madison High School

MADISON, NJ - Madison High School Principal Greg Robertson is calling it a career, leaving the district this August after 15 years of service and the Board of Education approved the hiring of Dave Dreschel to take his place.

Drechsel was approved on a one-year contract, starting Sept. 1. Drechsel has been in the distrcit two years, arriving as an assistant principal at the high school 2017.

Superintendent Mark Schwarz said he and the school board were "overjoyed" to announce the hiring.

"Over his last two years as Vice Principal of MHS, Mr. Drechsel has managed a myriad of school functions while earning the universal respect of the students, faculty, administration and parents," Schwarz said.

Drechsel earned a bachelor’s of science degree from Lafayette College, Easton, Pa., and a master’s degree in administration and supervision from St. Peter’s University.

He was selected for his progressive vision for MHS and his proven record of listen to stakeholders, analyzing problems and taking action with forward-thinking, student-centered solutions," Schwarz said. "Mr. Drechsel is exactly the leader that we need to take Madison High School to the next level."
