NFLers Help Raise Money for Madison Football
Kids get a taste of the big time in charity games.
Most kids who strap on a helmet and take to the gridiron give their imagination flight to dream of playing in the National Football League. On Friday night many of those Madison kids got a chance to bump up against NFLers, on the basketball court.
The Huddle Club football boosters organized the charity event at the high school pitting a group of present and former NFL players against high school and youth players, coaches and supporters in a series of basketball games to benefit Madison football and Dreams for Kids, a non-profit organization that helps children build character by giving them the tools they need to believe in themselves and respect others.
Kids enjoyed an autograph session with the players, and night also included a sports memorabilia store, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
