Nicky's Firehouse a Labor of Love for Family Dinners
Madison landmark celebrating its 20th year of serving great pizza, and much more.

When you serve some of the best pizza in town, as they do at , people take notice.
If you’re like Patch, you love good pizza. Maybe too much, especially if you eat it three days a week after basketball, soccer and baseball games. Too much of a good thing, we suppose.
So Patch headed for Nicky’s looking for a tasty lunch alternative. And found it, in a chicken marsala entree. Tender and flavorful, served over our choice of linguini with mushrooms, redolent of marsala wine and butter but not drowning in either. Our thanks to Patty, our server who recommended it.
Nicky’s is a Madison landmark, serving specialty and brick oven pizza, paninis, sandwiches, homemade burgers and entrees, since 1991.
“When I was 15, I worked as a dishwasher at Rod’s in West Orange,” says owner Nicky Lardieri. “That taught me a lot about the restaurant business. I’ve always had a love for it—it’s something you live, not just a job.”
Nicky’s specializes in a family-style setting, with a kids menu and prices that won’t break the family budget. For Madison’s Stay at Home Night on March 8, a dinner special consisting of a half-tray of spaghetti and meatballs and salad, enough to feed six to eight, is only $14.99.
