No Drug, Alcohol Incidents In Madison Schools Last Year

Madison schools reported having no drug or alcohol incidents in the 2016-2017 school year.

MADISON, NJ — There were no drug and alcohol related incidents in Madison schools last year, according to new information released by the state Department of Education.

The data is released annually, and tallies how many incidents happen in each school district. The data released this month is for the 2016-2017 school year.

No incidents were reported in Madison during the past school year, according to the newly released data says. The year before, there were six.

The district had some of the lowest rates of incidents in the county. Several other districts also reported having no incidents, while the district with the most (Morris School District), reported 42.

The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately. But they are required by law to report them.
