No Injuries in Restaurant Kitchen Incident

There were no injuries in a kitchen incident that caused a smoke condition Thursday afternoon at .
Chief Lou DeRosa said the staff was "just doing some cooking" in the kitchen when something on the stove "generated a large column of smoke."
The department received a call shortly before 2 p.m., and police blocked traffic on Main Street between Waverly Place and Green Village Road.

There was no fire, DeRosa said, and no one was injured. The restaurant was closed at the time of the incident.
The fire department checked the exhaust system from the kitchen to make sure it was working properly. They "verified there were no issues," DeRosa said, and cleared the area at about 2:15 p.m.
