19 Cars Are Broken Into Overnight

The Madison Police Department reported numerous car break-ins overnight in the Fairwoods section of town.

A total of 19 cars at 18 locations were burlgarized, according to Madison Police Chief John Trevena. "As of now it looks like a laptop, navigation system, wallet and a purse is all that is missing," he said.

Streets where the break-ins occurred were Centre, Redmond, Ardsleigh, Forest, Rosemont, Glendale, Fairwoods, and Woodside.

No suspects have been identified and the investigation continues.

Trevena urged residents to keep their cars locked at night, and notify the police desk at 973-593-3000 to report any suspicious activity.
