Borough Police Arrest Two on Drug, Alcohol Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Madison Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

On Dec. 2 at 11 p.m., Madison Ptl. James Cavezza arrested Scott Deal, 19, of Morristown and charged him with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute. He also arrested Christine Tuminello, 19, of Staten Island and charged her with underage possession of alcohol. Cavezza initially stopped Deal for a speeding violation on Madison Avenue near Danforth Road, and determined that he was in possession of narcotics and alcohol. Both were taken to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. Deal was also issued motor vehicle summonses for speeding and operating a motor vehicle with narcotics in a vehicle.

On Nov. 30 at 8:13 p.m., Madison Ptl. Anthony Maccario arrested 22-year-old Derrick Palmer of East Windsor, N.J. and 22-year-old Terrell Lucas of Piscataway and charged them with defiant trespass. Maccario was contacted by Drew University Public Safety, which had stopped them on campus. They both had been given previous warnings not to return to campus. They were taken to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. Ptl. Kevin Boone assisted in the arrest.

The , , and responded to 16 medical emergencies. Police investigated five motor vehicle crashes during the week.
