Prosecutor: Critically Injured Man May Have Been Victim of Hit-And-Run
Authorities searching SUV in the area of Main Street in Madison on June 20.

Local and county authorities investigating the reason behind a man’s critical injuries in Madison recently now believe he was a victim of a hit-and-run.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the Madison Police Department announced Wednesday the investigation now centers around a Hyundai Sante Fe Sport with a make year between 2013 and 2015 that was in the area of Main Street in Madison when a 53-year-old man was critically injured.
The incident is said to have occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. The investigation had led to information about a vehicle leaving the area and heading east on Main Street toward Chatham, police said.

If the vehicle sustained damage, it is believed to be minimal and likely at the front of the SUV.
