Residents Are Asked to Restrict Water Use In Madison Borough

The Madison Water Department has asked all residents to follow a voluntary water restriction during June, July and August.

MADISON, NJ — Borough officials and the Madison Water Department are requesting that all Madison residents and businesses observe voluntary water use restrictions during the summer months.

Under the restrictions, outdoor water use will be permitted on designated days from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. and then from 8 p.m. to midnight. The restriction will also ask residents to adhere to an alternate day schedule, with usage permitted on even-numbered days for residents or businesses with even-numbered buildings, or box numbers and on odd-numbered days for residents or businesses with odd-numbered building or box numbers.

There should be no such outdoor water usage between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on any given day.
