Road Reconstruction Planned To Begin In Madison

Beginning Thursday, June 2 the Borough of Madison's contractor will begin road reconstruction on Howard Street and Norman Circle.

MADISON, NJ — The Borough of Madison's contractor, Cifelli and Sons Contracting, will begin work on the 2022 Road Reconstruction project on Howard Street and Norman Circle on Thursday, June 2.

Among the improvements are road reconstruction, complete curbing, drainage, sidewalks, milling and paving. Officials estimate that the entire reconstruction project will take about 6 weeks.

Because of construction, Howard Street and Norman Circle may be closed in both directions, with only local access, officials said. Residents are asked to restrict or relocate vehicles they need to use between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the contractor is active on the street – work is typically localized in sections of 300 feet when possible.
