Sentencing of Madison Detective Delayed
James Haspel now scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 4.

The sentencing for former Madison Det. James Haspel has been pushed back to Friday, Nov. 4 at 8:30 a.m., according to the Superior Court of Morristown.
The sentencing, which was scheduled for this Friday, was pushed back due to Superior Court Judge Thomas V. Manahan being out of town.
Haspel, 50, of a nude photo from an undercover detective he believed to be a 13-year-old girl on Aug. 23. Haspel, who must also forfeit his job as a police officer and never again be employed in the public sector, is expected to serve a seven-year state prison sentence.
