Shoplifting, Warrant Arrest On Lincoln Place: Madison Police
Aparicio Elias and Nery Gomez-Bautista were arrested after an incident with police, authorities said.
MADISON, NJ - A 46-year-old and 21-year-old Morristown man were arrested after an incident with police on Feb. 6, according to the Madison Police Department.
According to authorities, Corporal Bart Glab and Patrolman Joseph DiRocco arrested Aparicio Elias and Nery Gomez-Bautista after Glab was dispatched to a Lincoln Place business for a shoplifting in progress.
Upon arrival, Glab met with both males inside of the business. After an investigation, Elias was found in possession of store items that he was attempting to conceal under his clothes, police said. Further, he had provided false information to Glab on scene, police said.

After an investigation, it was found that the second man, Gomez-Bautista, had a NCIC warrant for his arrest, police said.
Both men were arrested on scene and transported to Madison HQ for processing.

Elias was charged with hindering apprehension and shoplifting, disorderly person’s offenses. Both males were later released from Madison police custody and Elias is awaiting his court appearance in Madison Municipal Court, police said.
