Speeding Leads To Drug Arrest In Madison: Cops
Jason Chan had glass pipes and other suspected marijuana paraphernalia, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 22-year-old Brooklyn, NY, man was charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 17, according to the Madison Police Department.
Patrolman Kyle McDermott stopped a vehicle that Chan was a passenger in for speeding, police said. Upon speaking with the occupants, McDermott detected an odor of raw marijuana, police said. After a further investigation, it was determined that Chan was in possession of suspected marijuana along with glass pipes and other suspected marijuana paraphernalia, police said. Chan was arrested on scene and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia, both being disorderly person’s offenses, police said.
He was later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
