Speeding Stop Leads To Drug Arrest: Madison Police
Nico R. Williams was arrested on Woodland Road, police said.
MADISON, NJ - A 23-year-old Franklin man was arrested and charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on February 14, according to the Madison Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Nelson Jimenez stopped Nico R. Williams’ vehicle on Woodland Road for speeding. Upon speaking with Williams, Jimenez observed signs of drug use in plain view, police said. After an investigation, Williams was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, police said. Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia, both being disorderly person’s offenses, police said.
He was later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
