Created in Berlin, Art Looks at Time-Perception Relationship
Drew assistant professor Lee Arnold developed show in 2011; now on display at university.
Works of assistant professor Lee Arnold titled "Time Image" are currently on display at the university's Korn Gallery. The works were created while Arnold was a research fellow at the University of the Arts in Berlin in 2011.
Made up of five different pieces, including film, photography, drawing and sound, the show "attempts to lead the viewer to consider the relationship between time and perception."
"Walpurgis Night" is a digital video of a time-lapse view from a hotel in Switzerland where the Thomas Mann novel, "Magic Mountain," is set. The digital video, "Mixed Signals," translates notes played on a glockenspiel into microtones represented in a series of colors.
