On May 5, in a formal ceremony with candles and roses, Nancy Levy (VP of the NJ State Federation Highlands District), officiated at the installation of nine officers of the Thursday Morning Club (TMC).
The installation was part of the Club’s Annual Meeting where Susan Packie, outgoing TMC President, recognized the service of outgoing officers and committee chairs and the dedicated work of the Preschool and Before and After School Child Care staff and of the administrative staff. She also noted those 25 and 40 year members and asked for a moment of silence to recognize members who had passed away in the past year.
In addition to the installation ceremony, a highlight was the placing of two members on the General Federation of Women’s Club’s Honor Roll, which is the highest honor a member can receive: Susan Packie for her outstanding leadership during COVID and Denise Bone for her significant contributions to updating TMC technology.

The Thursday Morning Club, a social and non-profit service organization with 235 members, owns, operates, and maintains the Madison Community House and its Pre-school and Before and After School Child Care Program. Organized in 1896, the Club is a member of both the New Jersey State and General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The Club offers programs and services to support the community, and its Community House provides a home for a number of sports, recreation, and civic groups.
