TMC Presents - “Bridge Builder in Petticoats”
The History of Emily Warren Roebling, who took the lead to complete the Brooklyn Bridge

Master storyteller, author, and librarian, Carol Simon Levin, created “Bridge Builder in Petticoats” to engage and excite her audiences! Join the Thursday Morning Club on Thursday, March 2nd, at 10:00 AM to hear Levin’s tale about the skirted genius, Emily Warren Roebling, who took the lead to complete the Brooklyn Bridge after her husband’s illness forced him to retire as chief engineer of the project.
Levin’s talks highlight the contributions of courageous women like Roebling. Her twenty years of storytelling experience always connect her audiences with interesting vignettes that describe the contributions of founding mothers, labor and civil rights leaders, feminists, and suffragists.
The luncheon and lecture, sponsored by the Thursday Morning Club, will be at the Madison Community House, 25 Cook Ave. Madison and the cost is $15.00, payable at the door.
