TMC Supports Emmanuel Cancer Foundation
TMC Donates Non-Perishable Food & Backpacks/Supplies
The Thursday Morning Club hosted two events in support of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Club’s current two year state project, The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF). ECF is a non-profit organization organized 30 years ago to support families with a child battling cancer.
In July, TMC members and the surrounding community donated 35 filled backpacks and miscellaneous school supplies to distribute to ECF families for the upcoming school year. In August, TMC had a non-perishable food drive and members donated over 250 items to stock the ECF pantry.
Organized in 1896, the club is a member of both the New Jersey State and General Federation of Women’s Clubs. The club offers programs and services to support the community, and its Community House provides a home for a five-day Preschool and Before and after School Child Care Program as well as a number of sports, recreation, and civic groups.
