Our General Meeting held on 11/2/17. Our guest speaker was our own Past President; Michal Holzman. She spoke about the TMC's 121 years of service to Madison and its surrounding communities.
If you didn't know, here is a brief history lesson on the TMC. We own and operate the Madison Community House, we are members of the GFWC - General Federation of Women's Clubs and the NJSFWC - NJ State Federation of Women's Clubs. Thru these organizations we support the Jersey Battered Women Services, Prevent Child Abuse NJ and National Alliance for Mental Illness, just to name a few.
Besides owning and operating MCH; TMC also started the Friends of the Madison Library, the Madison Shade Tree Commission which are now both free standing organizations.

Years ago we hired Madison's first nurse, started the first kindergarten and Adult Day Care Center; Time Out; which now is also a standalone organization. We also began a nursery school that still runs to this day.
In 2000, we created the BASCC (Before and Afterschool Child Care) Program at the 3 Madison elementary schools. We serve over 260 children.
50,000+ people pass thru our doors every year. MCH serves the community for people of all ages. Civic groups, sports organizations and private parties are held here. The MCH also provides space for a woman's group; Dress for Success Northern NJ - 10 Counties.
