Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest: Madison Police

Nathalie M. Muniz was charged with possession, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 21-year-old Elizabeth woman was arrested and charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 27, according to the Madison Police Department.

According to authorities, Sgt. James Cavezza stopped the Nathalie M. Muniz for a non-moving violation. While speaking with Muniz, Cavezza observed obvious signs of drug use in plain view, police said.

After an investigation, Muniz was found to be in possession of marijuana and she was placed under arrest, police said.

She was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia, both being disorderly person’s offenses, police said. Muniz was later released pending her Madison Municipal Court appearance.
