Two Arrested, Charged With Drug Possession: Cranford Police

Brittany Consulmagno and Justyna Sula were stopped for a seatbelt violation, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old Winfield Park woman and a 27-year-old South Amboy woman were arrested and charged with drug possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 10, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino stopped a 2004 Volvo on Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, D’Agostino arrested the driver, Brittany Consulmagno, and a passenger, Justyna Sula, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.

Both were charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Consulmagno was also charged with possession of prescription legend drugs for suspected Xanax found inside the vehicle, police said.

They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Consulmagno was issued motor vehicle summonses for a view obstruction and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
