Two Charged With Drug Possession In Madison: Cops
Anthony M. Cantale and Jeremy L. Kaplan were charged with disorderly person's offenses, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 24-year-old Lakehurst man and a 22-year-old Jericho, NY, man were arrested and charged for possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 19, according to the Madison Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Kyle McDermott stopped Anthony Cantale’s vehicle on Madison Avenue for a non-moving violation. Upon speaking with Cantale, and his passenger, Jeremy Kaplan, McDermott detected obvious signs of drug use inside of Cantale’s vehicle, police said.
Upon further investigation, both suspects were found to be in possession of marijuana and various items of drug paraphernalia, police said. Both Kaplan and Cantale were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia, both being disorderly person’s offenses, police said. Cantale was further issued a motor vehicle summons for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, police said.

Both defendants were later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court, police said.
