Vezza Backstops Madison to Three Straight Wins
Dodgers catch fire behind senior's torrid stretch.
The softball team has clearly shown improvement on the diamond this season, and that progress was on display this past week as senior Julianna Vezza & Co. won three straight, stopping Dover, Summit and the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, each by more than nine runs.
During the Dodgers’ three-game winning streak, Vezza terrorized opposing pitchers to the tune of a .600 batting average and four extra base hits, helping the Madison offense average 11 runs per game.
Against Summit on Thursday, the starting catcher went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs, leading the Dodgers to an 11-0 win, their seventh of the year.

Up next, Vezza and the Dodgers look for win No. 9 against Morristown Monday at 4 p.m.
