VIDEO: First Responder Landrigan Saw People Come Together After 9/11

Madison EMT hopes the spirit of 9/11 will continue.

Robert Landrigan remembers Sept. 11, 2011 well. After being sent back home on his commuter train that fateful morning, he and some other Madison volunteers headed to New York to help.

Ten years later, Landrigan tells Patch that he feels America has lost some of that common spirit that united the country in one of its darkest hours but is happy that veterans are treated with more respect and dignity then during the Vietnam era in which he grew up.
