Butler High School’s mascot may be the Bulldogs, but the Bears wouldn’t be a bad backup.
Northern New Jersey has been flush with roaming bruins this summer, as the black bears have patrolled neighborhoods, laid waste to unassuming bird feeders and turned garbage into, well, really messy garbage.
But a family in Butler may have captured the image of the season, as a family of bears came sauntering through the yard recently. There was some nice play time between a few of the cubs, the inspection of a tree and the ultimate climbing of another.
