Who Is On The 2019 Ballot And Where To Vote In Madison

The general election is this Tuesday. Check out where to vote and who your options are before you cast your ballot.

MADISON, NJ - On Tuesday, Nov. 5 voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the general election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

We sent out questions to all local candidates involved in the race. Links to those who responded are attached to their names. You can click on them to read more about the candidates who chose to participate.

A quiet, uncontested primary has gave way to races for Madison Mayor and Council this November in the general election.

Democratic Mayor Robert Conley of Brittin Street earned his party's nomination and is being opposed by Republican Robert G. Catalanello of Woodland Road.

As for the race for council, Democrat Maureen Byrne of Albright Circle is looking to retain her seat and is joined by Rachel F. Ehrlich of Kings Road. The Democrats are squaring off against Patrick Rowe of Pine Avenue who is seeking to keep his seat on the dais and is joined by Kathy Daily of West End

As for the Madison Board of Education, there are two seats up for grabs as sitting members Johanna Habib and Leslie Lajewski will see their terms expire at the end of the calendar year and neither has filed to run again.

This clears the playing field for David Steketee of Ferndale Road, Stephen H. Tindall of Barnsdale Road and John Regan of Fairwood Road.

Residents will also vote on in races outside of the Chathams.
Current Sheriff, the Republican James M. Gannon, is running for reelection. He is being challenged by Democrat William Schivella.

Democrat Michael T. Thompson is facing off against Republican Heather Darling for the surrogate seat.

Three seats on the Board of Chosen Freeholders are up for election. Republicans Douglas Cabana, Thomas Mastrangelo and Kathy DeFillippo are running against Democrats Cara Parmigiani, Cary Amaro, and David Timpanaro.

Registered voters are assigned a specific election district and polling place according to their street address. Your election district and voting location are printed on the face of your Sample Ballot, which is mailed to registered voters before an election. A voters' polling location may also be searched by accessing the New Jersey Division of Elections Polling Place Locator.
