Women Tried To Steal Purse At Madison Gas Station: Police

The woman was arrested after a brief police chance, police said.

MADISON, NJ — A Morristown woman was arrested after allegedly trying to steal a purse from a woman at a Madison gas station this weekend, police said.

Jacqueline Humen, 29 of Morristown, was arrested after a short police chase on Saturday night, Madison police said. Humen is accused of trying to forcibly take a purse from another woman at the Madison Shell Gas Station around 5:48 p.m. on May 5. After she couldn't take the purse, Humen left the gas station and drove away, police said.

Madison Police pulled Humen over in Morristown where she was arrested. She was charged with robbery, eluding a police officer, and obstructing the administration of law. She was taken to Morristown Medical Center, but refused medical attention and was not injured.
