Bergen Shelter Caring For 12 Matted, Abandoned Dogs Found In Home
Some of the dogs are unable to see or walk due to severe matting, the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A animal rescue group is caring for 12 dogs found abandoned and caged in an empty Paterson house.
The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBAR) found "12 of the most seriously matted and neglected dogs we have ever seen," the Oakland-based nonprofit said in a Facebook post.
"All 12 dogs are in need of medical care and extensive grooming, as some of them are unable to even see or walk due to their severe matting... yet most are already seeking attention and affection, as if to thank their rescuers," the group said.
