2 Bergen Teens Pledge To Get 100K Hours Of Community Service Done
Twins Jake and Max Klein have created a nonprofit, Kids That Do Good, which allows people to look for local volunteer opportunities.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two local 15-year-olds are doing everything they can to make sure others do everything they can to help others.
Twins Jake and Max Klein of Edgewater are the founders of Kids That Do Good, a nonprofit that connects kids with charitable organizations. Through the organization's website, the twins have a goal of getting people to sign up for 100,000 hours of community service this year.
The boys launched the nonprofit after they were turned away from helping at a soup kitchen because they were too young.

"We couldn't believe it. We just wanted to help out," said Max Klein.
Users can sign up on the website and submit their hours to be counted towards the 100,000 goal. The site aggregates opportunities from hundreds of charitable organizations in more than 40 markets. Visitors can narrow down opportunities based on their age, location, interest or religion.

"This initiative will help us to build lasting relationships with our users and create an incentive for them to come back to the site, keep track of their efforts and share their 'goodness' with others," Jake Klein said. "We want to create an ever-growing community of volunteers."
