3 Charged With Abduction, Assault Of Mahwah Man, Report Says
22-year-old Mahwah man said his tongue was burned with a cigarette, his eyebrows were shaved off, and his hair was cut off with a knife.

Three people have been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and other offenses after he told police his tongue was burned, his eyebrows were shaved, and his hair was cut off over the weekend, a report by The Record said.
The man was allegedly abducted when Christian Reyes, 24, of Lyndhurst, found out the man was planning to burglarize Reyes’ apartment, the report states.
Wayne police informed Lyndhurst police of the incident after receiving a report of an aggressive driver on Route 23 and found the injured 22-year-old in a car, according to the report.

The man told police that he had been assaulted at a residence in Lyndhurst; in addition to Reyes, Quessy Acevedo, 21 of Avenel, and Jasely Alvarez, 21, of East Rutherford, were also charged, the report stated.
Reyes was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, and possession of a weapon, among other charges. Acevedo was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, and terroristic threats. Alvarez was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, the report stated.
