30 Pounds Of Marijuana Found In Truck's Secret Compartment: Prosecutor
Authorities investigated after they received a report of a suspicious pickup with no license plates that was parked in Ridgefield.

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — A joint investigation by county and federal authorities yielded the seizure of 30 pounds of suspected marijuana after a suspicious truck was spotted in Ridgefield this week, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced Saturday.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information Thursday about a suspicious white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with no license plates that was parked on a street in Ridgefield, Grewal said.
Members of the prosecutor's office and Homeland Security Investigations watched the vehicle and saw that it contained a secret compartment, the prosecutor said.

A Bergen County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit arrived on scene and the dog sniffed around the outside of the vehicle and indicated that narcotics were inside the truck, Grewal said.
Authorities got and executed a search warrant on the truck after it was towed to the prosecutor's office in Paramus where they found 30 pounds of suspected marijuana in the compartment, Grewal said.
