4 Bergen County School Districts Named To AP Honor Roll

Students generally score high on the Advance Placement exam in these districts than their peers.

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Four Bergen County high schools were again named to the the College Board's AP District Honor Roll, recognizing their students' achievements in Advanced Placement (AP) classes.

The schools all received the honor previously; more than 430 schools nationwide received the distinction.

  • Dumont Public Schools
  • Emerson School District
  • Pascack Valley Regional High School District
  • Tenafly School District

The AP Honor Roll recognizes districts that offer high levels of AP classes while having high numbers of students receiving final exam scores of three or more, on a scale of one to five.

Districts are judged on increased participation in AP classes, by at least 4 to 11 percent, depending on a district's size, and increase in high scores by students of minority groups and an increase in student scores of three or more.
