Sports Authority Liqudiation Sales Could Begin Next Week

A going-out-of-business sale will be held at all Sports Authority stores after the bankrupt retailer could not find a buyer who would keep the stores open.

The sales are expected to begin as soon as next week, CNN Money reported. The company reportedly had hoped to simply close some of its under-performing stores and reorganize its business.

Sports Authority has 21 stores in New Jersey. The company previously announced plans to close 140 stores, including the one in Wayne on Willowbrook Boulevard. The company also has two stores in Paramus, and stores in Secaucus, Clifton, Ramsey, and Riverdale.
