Supermarkets, horse racing, investments, and food manufacturing have led to estimated worths of between $110M and $2.2B, report says.

And apparently some very, very wealthy residents.
In a report released this week by njbiz.com, the 50 wealthiest residents in New Jersey, their hometown, and source of income was divulged.

Eight of those top 50 end their busy work days in Morris County, according to the list.

- No. 45: Mary Higgins Clark, 87, Saddle River, Best-selling author. Estimated worth: $110 million
- No. 39: Ahmed Zayat, 53, Teaneck, Entreprneur, horse racing. (Zayat’s horse, American Pharoah, recently became the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years.) Estimated worth: $280 million
- No. 25: Lawrence Inserra Jr., 57, Mahwah, Supermarkets. Estimated worth: $781 million
- Nos. 21 and 20: Daniel E. and Moshael Straus, Englewood, Senior Citizen Homes, Investments. Estimated worth: $905 million
- Nos. 17 and 16: Robert and Peter Unanue, Wyckoff and River Vale, respectively, Food Manufacturing. Estimated worth: $1.1 billion
- No. 9: Larry Robbins, Alpine, Hedge Fund. Estimated worth: $2.2 billion
The state’s wealthiest resident is David Alan Tepper, of Livingston, who has an estimated worth of $10B thanks to investments.
