BERGEN COUNTY — Updated information has been released as coronavirus vaccines have begun in Bergen County and officials have provided details on rollout plans that were fully underway on Friday. Vaccine sites have been announced.

Three vaccination programs are underway at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, with the county hosting most vaccinations at a temporary medical center in Paramus.
The county is utilizing the Annex Alternative Care Facility in Paramus, a temporary hospital constructed by the Army Corps of engineers with assistance from FEMA earlier this year.
That facility was originally planned to house additional patients, but can now be used to administer over 300 vaccinations per day, the county said.
Here's what's also happening:
The Moderna vaccine program has already reached registration capacity, with 1,000 1A healthcare and EMS personnel receiving their shots. Scheduling will open again when additional vaccine doses are received from the state.
In Paramus, vaccinations also have begun at the state-run veterans home, which faced an outbreak and internal leadership issues throughout the early months of the pandemic.
Residents and staff will receive the 2nd dose of the vaccines three weeks after the first dose.
In Wyckoff, Christian Health Care Center announced that it's partnered with CVS for their vaccine rollout, but not through the federal Pharmacy Partnership.
According to Gov. Phil Murphy's office, New Jersey already has 291 long-term care facilities scheduled and over 83,000 residents and staff slated to receive vaccinations through the beginning of February 2021, with more sites to be added in the coming weeks.

Where else will tests be available?
New Jersey already has announced six megasites for vaccine distribution, including one at The Meadowlands in Bergen County.
The megasite and Annex Alternative Care Facility at New Bridge are the only sites that have been officially announced as of now, but a Northjersey.com report stated that a plan under review by the state Department of Health also includes Bergen Community College and Bergen County Technical High School.
Both of those sites have also been used for drive-thru testing during the pandemic, with the college currently an active testing site.
County residents may also eventually be able to get their shots at one of the COVID-19 vaccination sites planned to pop up across the state soon – including at Federally Qualified Health Centers, local ShopRite locations or doctor's offices.
In all, there will be more than 200 community COVID vaccine sites across New Jersey. State Health Commissioner Judy Persichilli announced Monday that 134 of those sites will be getting the vaccine this week.

Who's eligible?
Limited doses of the vaccine will be available at first.

The general public will be eligible for vaccination in Phase 2 of the plan.
