• Under the Arch: More Than 1,400 New Students Welcomed to Ramapo (ramapo.edu) — Ramapo College's Mahwah campus just welcomed more than 1,400 new Roadrunners, including over 1,100 first-year students and 337 transfers, for its annual check-in and Arching traditions. Families, volunteers, athletes, and first-generation students from all 21 New Jersey counties and beyond filled the picturesque campus as President Cindy Jebb encouraged them to dive into clubs, research, and community life.
• Les Paul's Mahwah Home Demolished After $990,000 Sale; Son Questions Missing Proceeds (wcsx.com) — Les Paul's former home on Deerhaven Road in Mahwah, where he pioneered multitrack recording and guitar innovations, has been demolished following a $990,000 sale to private developers. His son, Gene Paul, says the family wasn't warned about the teardown and is publicly questioning what happened to the sale proceeds controlled by the Les Paul Foundation.
• 17 New Jersey colleges make Time's first Best Colleges list (njbiz.com) — Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahwah has been ranked No. 245 on Time's inaugural America's Best Colleges of 2026-2027 list, one of 17 New Jersey schools recognized. The ranking emphasizes student outcomes, learning environment, and overall appeal, with Ramapo appearing alongside institutions like Princeton, Stevens, and NJIT as strong value options for students.
