Auction Set For 6 North Jersey Sports Authority Leases
The store's leases will be auctioned off June 29 as part of the company's bankruptcy sale.

The leases of six Sports Authority stores in North Jersey will be auctioned off later this month as part of a bankruptcy sale.
The six stores — two in Paramus and one each in Ramsey, Riverdale, Clifton, and Secaucus — are some of the 320 Sports Authority leases up for auction June 29. The retail giant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March and announced it planned to close 140 stores and restructure, but it failed to find a buyer.
The company announced in May that it was liquidating and closing all of its 460 locations.

The Wayne Sports Authority store is not one of the 320 to have its lease auctioned off. That store was one of the 140 underperforming locations the company decided to close before the liquidation was announced. Other arrangements may have already been made for the site, The Record reported.
There are 16 New Jersey stores listed on A&G Realty Partners auction website. The deadline to submit bid offers for the leases is June 23.
