Authorities Investigating Bergen Bank Robbery: Police

Authorities are investigating a robbery at a Spencer Savings Bank branch in Wallington.

A man passed a note to a teller shortly before 10:30 a.m., Wallington Police Chief Carmello Imbruglia told The Record. It was not known if cash was taken or if the man showed the teller any weapons. No one was injured.

Imbruglia could not immediately be reached for comment.

The FBI and the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Investigation are also responded to the scene, the report said.

 Authorities said they do not know if the robber was the Countdown Bandit. who is wanted for robbing several banks in Bergen and Passaic counties for months.
