Bergen Chef Nominated For Prestigious National Award

Chef Joseph Cuccia of 17 Summer was nominated for the Rising Star Chef of the Year Award from the James Beard Foundation.

Cuccia is one of several nominees chosen out of the more than 20,000 names submitted nationwide to the foundation.

The Rising Star Chef of the Year Award is awarded to a chef 30 years old and younger who displays “an impressive talent and who is likely to make a significant impact for years to come.”

The final list of nominees will be announced March 15. The awards will be given out at a gala in Chicago May 2.
