Bergen County Lottery Player Wins $1.5 Million Jackpot

A winning lottery ticket was sold in Lodi for Friday's Jersey Cash 5 drawing. It netted the winner $1.5 million.

LODI, NJ — Christmas came early for one Bergen County lottery player, who walked away from Friday's Jersey Cash 5 drawing with over $1 million in winnings.

Lottery officials announced that one ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $1,504,053 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Friday. The ticket was sold at Shoprite of Lodi #122, 175 Main St., in Lodi, New Jersey.

The retailer will receive a bonus check of $2,000, officials said.

The Bergen County player wasn't the only person to take home $1 million in winnings, as a Passaic County lottery player won a $1 million second-tier prize in Saturday's Powerball drawing.

A Fort Lee, New Jersey, lottery player took home $50,000 in that drawing, lottery officials announced.
