The 27-year-old victim contacted police to report what had happened to her while she was between the ages of 5 and 15.

A Bergen County man was arrested Sunday for allegedly engaging in inappropriate activity with a child more than a decade ago.

David C. Polkowski, 32, of Dumot was arrested by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Elmwood Park Police Department after his alleged victim contacted police, according to Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.

The victim, now 27-years-old and no longer residing in New Jersey, reported to Elmwood police that Polkowski engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with her while she was between the ages of 5- and-15-years-old.
