Bergen Man Accused Of Holding Woman Captive For In Car For Hours: Report
Markell E. Brito, 21, allegedly held the woman in his car for 7 hours and threatened to hurt her if she fled, authorities said.

PALISADES PARK, NJ - A 21-year-old Bergen County man is accused of kidnapping a woman and holding her captive in his car for more than seven hours over the weekend, authorities reported.
Markell E. Brito, of Palisades Park, allegedly held a woman in his car in Fairview, NJ.com reported, citing a criminal complaint.
According to the complaint, Brito grabbed the woman by her arm and pulled her into the car when she tried to escape from him, the report said.

The case was classified as a domestic violence incident and the nature of Brito’s relationship to the woman was not clear, according to the report.
The woman told police Brito assaulted her in Ridgefield Park and drove her to a Fairview parking garage, The Record reported.

Brito is scheduled for a court hearing Dec. 17 was ordered held on $75,000.
