Bergen Man Faces Child Porn Charge
Jeremy H. Haar, 18, was charged with sexual contact with a girl, 13, authorities said.

FORT LEE, N.J. — An 18-year-old with addresses in Fort Lee and Norwood was arrested and charged Wednesday with possession of child pornography and having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl, authorities said.
Jeremy M. Haar's arrest was the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Computer Crimes Unit, said Gurbir S. Grewal, the acting county prosecutor.
Authorities identified Haar as using the internet to acquire images of prepubescent children engaging in sex acts, Grewal said. During the investigation, the prosecutor said, authorities learned that Haar had also engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with the girl, who was an acquaintance.
Haar was arrested after authorities executed search warrants at his Linwood Avenue apartment in Fort Lee and his Norwood residence, Grewal said.
Haar is charged with child endangerment by possession the child pornography, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a minor, Grewal said. He was being held at the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
