Bergen Man Had Sex With Teen Girl: Prosecutor

A Hackensack man is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl three times in the past few months, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Hackensack police learned that a 15-year-old girl had sexual intercorse with Santos Alberto Gregorio-Lopez, 23, in the city, Grewal said. The prosecutor's office Special Victims Unit and the police conducted an investigation.

The girl was interviewed at the prosecutor's office and authorities that she and Gregorio-Lopez "engaged in sexual intercorse on three occasion within the past few months," Grewal said.

Gregorio-Lopez was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Judge Estela M. De La Cruz of the Bergen County Superior Court set his bail at $250,000 with no 10 percent option. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail. He is scheduled to appear in Hackensack Municipal Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
