Bergen Man Harassed, Stalked Victim And Lied About It: Prosecutor
Sean D. Slattery, 35, allegedly sent 'alarming' text messages to the 24-year-old victim.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A local man was charged with stalking and cyber-harassment after he sent "alarming" text messages to someone, authorities said.
Sean D. Slattery, 35, of Lyndhurst was arrested after members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit investigated the text messages, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
Authorities received information Friday about the texts a 24-year-old victim and Slattery received, Calo said.

The investigation revealed that Slattery falsified his statements to authorities and used the internet to create the messages, which were designed to appear as if the sender was someone else, Calo said.
Slattery is scheduled to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court April 4.
