FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

1. SPAGHETTI-FEST

Where/When: , Saturday, Feb. 5 from 3-5 p.m.

Why Go: If you want to take advantage of all of the winter weather we’ve been getting, head to Campgaw Mountain on Saturday. Season pass holders can enjoy a Spaghetti-Fest, complete with free snow tubing.

2. MAKE YOUR OWN CHOCOLATE LOLLIPOPS     

Where/When: Hillsdale Public Library, Friday, Feb. 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Why Go: Open to those in grades 7-12, check out this tasty workshop at a local library that is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Washington Township Public Library, Saturday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: The GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club has scheduled a special storytime and craft workshop at the library for kids ages 4 and up. Crafts made that day will be sent to the troops in Afghanistan.
Pricing: Free.

4. THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR

Where/When: Ciccone Theater at Bergen Community College, Sat., Feb., 5, 2011 at 11 AM and 2 PM

Why Go: Children’s favorite books come to life on stage as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other Eric Carle Favourites" hits the Ciccone Theater. It’s a unique theater experience, as the stories are told through florescent puppets and black lights.

Price: Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children & BCC students

5. BUBBLE TIME: THE DAWN OF UNDILUTED JOY

Where/When: Bergen Performing Arts Center, Englewood, Saturday, Feb. 5; show starts at 4 p.m.

Why Go: Slide into the unpredictable world of soap, slapstick and showmanship. Doug Rougeux and Casey Carle, Ringling Brothers and Cirque du Soleil veterans, combine 40 years of international solo careers in a highly unique act fusing theater, visual art, clowning, jazz music, improvisation and brilliant bubbling to create an event that is both eye-popping and hysterical.

Pricing: Ranges from $15-$25.
